So it's been a while. And with the holidays fast approaching I've been reluctant to post anything due to my 'family disposition'. But today is Thanksgiving and I am thankful for a lot. I've got a wife whose support and love is my reason for getting out of bed everyday. This will be our second Thanksgiving together as husband and wife. I'm also thankful for myself. I'm thankful for everything I can do. I'm an able-bodied person with access to the internet. What more on this planet could I ask for? To be able to fly or become invisible? Give me a couple of years. I'm sure wikipedia's working on it. Besides being able-bodied I also have a job that has allowed me to live independently and without needing to be supported by anyone else for six years. And although 1279 is far from perfect, It seems like trying to find a job in this recession would be vexing. I try to remember these things all year long. It would be easy to take them for granted. But when I step back and 'take it all in' I can view these abilities as extraordinary. And so I choose to.
Ps. One thing that would make me more thankful is getting some of that turkey President Obama karate chopped in front of his daughters.
